Vegetable plate with smoked ham

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 250 g Carrots
  • 250 g French beans
  • 500 g fresh peas (or 1 package [300 g] frozen)
  • 1 l Milk
  • 50 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 collar Parsley
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 4 discs cottage ham (approx. 80 g each)

Directions

    Wash the potatoes and cook for 20-25 minutes. Peel, wash and slice the carrots. Clean, wash and slice the beans. Remove peas from their shells. Put carrots and beans in boiling salted water and cook for 15-20 minutes.

    Add the peas 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Heat milk and butter. Wash parsley, chop finely (save some for the vegetables) and add to the milk. Season to taste with salt and sugar.

    Drain the potatoes, peel and slice them. Mix vegetables and potatoes carefully and arrange on a plate with the ham. Sprinkle with parsley and garnish. Add sauce extra.
