Maroon goulash

Ingredients

  • 125 g Shallots
  • 250 g Carrots
  • 1 kg fresh chestnuts
  • 375 g Black Forest bacon
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 collar Parsley

Directions

    Peel shallots and carrots. Carefully clean, wash and halve the chestnuts. Slice the carrots and cut the bacon into strips. Sauté the bacon and shallots in hot fat. Add chestnuts and carrots and braise briefly.

    Add 1/8 litre water and season with salt and pepper. Cover the mushroom goulash and cook for about 10 minutes. Wash parsley, chop finely and sprinkle over before serving. Boiled potatoes or noodles taste good with it
