1 Drain the mixed pickles on a sieve. Cut the chilli pepper lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife. Cut the pod into fine strips. Mix the mixed pickles, chilli strips and olives. Season with pepper and fill into 4 glass bowls
Peel the garlic, press it through the garlic press or chop it very finely and mix it with the mayonnaise. Spread the mayonnaise over the vegetables. Sprinkle chive rolls over it. Serve with the pumpernickel slices
