Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 750 g sour apples (to B. James Grieve)
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 1 package Pudding powder
  • 7-10 Tbsp "Vanilla" (
  • 7-10 Tbsp for 1/2 l milk)
  • 3 go. tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 l apple juice
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Melissa, apple slices
  • 7-10 Tbsp and Mini-Baisers

Directions

  1. 1

Wash, peel, quarter and core apples. Cut the fruit flesh into small pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice immediately

  2. 2

Mix the pudding powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 6 tablespoons of apple juice. Boil up the rest of the juice. Cover and simmer the apple pieces for 2-3 minutes. Season to taste with sugar and possibly cinnamon

  3. 3

Stir in the pudding powder, bring everything to the boil and continue to cook for about 1 minute while stirring. Let the groats cool down a little. Pour into dessert bowls and let them cool down. Decorate with lemon balm, apple wedges and meringue. Serve with vanilla sauce

  4. 4

    - The vanilla and apple groats can be varied with ginger, aniseed and - if no children are eating along - with calvados

  5. 5

    - James Grieve is a precocious apple variety that is available from the end of August to the end of October. The juicy, later crumbly meat is suitable for cooking and steaming
