Tortilla cubes with peas

Ingredients

Servings: 7
  • 450 g frozen peas
  • 1.5 kg waxy potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 150 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 1/2 l Milk
  • 10 Eggs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 7-10 Tbsp Nutmeg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Defrost the peas. Wash the potatoes and cook covered for about 20 minutes. Quench, peel and let cool off

    Finely dice the bacon and fry it crisply in a pan without additional fat. Peel and finely dice the onions. Add to bacon and fry until translucent. Whisk milk and eggs. Season with salt, paprika and nutmeg. Cut potatoes into slices

    Grease the casserole dish (approx. 20 x 30 cm). Alternately layer potatoes, bacon onions and peas in the dish. Season in between with salt and pepper. Pour egg milk over it. Bake in a hot oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: level 3) for 40-45 minutes. Let cool and cut into cubes
