Tex-Mex meat skewers with baked potatoes

Ingredients

  • 600 g flushed pork neck
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 2 TEASPOONS Spice mix Mexican style
  • 3 Onions
  • 150 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 1 kg waxy potatoes
  • 8 Metal skewers

Directions

    Wash the meat, dab dry and cut into larger pieces. Mix oil and 1 teaspoon of seasoning mixture. Turn the meat cubes in it and marinate for about 30 minutes. Peel onions and cut into slices. Cut bacon into slightly thicker slices. Wash potatoes thoroughly, cut into slices and sprinkle with approx. 1 teaspoon of seasoning mixture. Put potato slices on a baking tray. Put meat, onions and bacon slices on 8 skewers. Put the baking tray into the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ circulating air: 175 °C/ gas: level 3). Place meat skewers on the oven rack and slide them over the potatoes. Fry skewers and potato wedges for 25-30 minutes. Turn the skewers and potatoes once if necessary. Serve potatoes and skewers together. Serve with crème fraîche and a mixed salad of romaine lettuce, tomatoes and red beans
