Summer Fruit Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Nectarines
  • 600 g Cherries
  • 300 g Blackberries
  • 1 Organic Orange
  • 300 g finest sugar
  • 250 ml pale balsamic vinegar
  • 1 TEASPOON Peppercorns
  • 1/2 TEASPOON ground cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks

Directions

    Wash and halve the nectarines, remove stones and dice the flesh. Wash and stone the cherries and halve the fruit. Sort blackberries. Orange hot wash, dry grate and peel in thin strips with a zest ripper and chop

    Put sugar, vinegar and fruit in a pot. Finely crush pepper in a mortar. Add pepper, cloves, orange peel and cinnamon sticks to the chutney. Bring to the boil and simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally

    Remove the cinnamon sticks and immediately fill the chutney into clean, tightly sealed jars
