Ingredients

  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 65 g Butter
  • 65 g + 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 500 g Strawberries
  • 500 g Schmand
  • 8 TABLESPOONS Gelling sugar (1:1)
  • 500 g Whipped cream
  • 3 packages Cream stabiliser
  • 1 package (200 g) deep-frozen mini cream puffs with strawberry yoghurt filling
  • 1 package Strawberry cake glaze
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Knead egg, butter in pieces, 65 g sugar, vanillin sugar, flour and baking powder first with the dough hooks of the hand mixer, then with your hands to a smooth dough. Cover the dough and chill for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface until round (26 cm Ø) and place it on the bottom of a greased springform pan (26 cm Ø). Prick the base several times with a fork. Bake in the preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) on the lower rack for approx. 15 minutes. Remove and let cool off.

    Place a cake ring or springform pan rim around the base. Wash and clean the strawberries. Put 12 large strawberries aside, cut the rest in half. Mix sour cream with jam sugar. Whip the cream until stiff, while pouring in the cream firming agent. Carefully fold the cream into the sour cream. Spread 1/3 of the filling on the base and spread the frozen cream puffs on top. Place halved strawberries between the individual cream puffs. Spread the rest of the cream on top. Cut the rest of the strawberries into thin slices and spread them on the cake. Mix the cake glaze with 3 tbsp. sugar in a small pot.

Spoon onto the cake, chill and leave to set overnight
