Ingredients

Servings: 24
  • 150 g Raisins
  • 500 g Flour
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 175 g Butter
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Salt
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 cube (42 g) fresh yeast
  • 200 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 25 g Citronate and candied orange peel
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Christmas Stollen Spice
  • 100 g flaked almonds
  • 250 g Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

  1. 1

Rinse and drain the raisins. Put flour, 100 g sugar, vanillin sugar, 75 butter in flakes, eggs and salt in a mixing bowl. Warm milk lukewarm, crumble yeast into it and dissolve while stirring. Add to flour and knead with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes. In the meantime cut marzipan into cubes.

  2. 2

Finely grind the citronate and candied orange peel in the universal chopper. Beat the leavened dough with a perforated spoon. (The dough is somewhat liquid, so do not knead with your hands.) Mix in the raisins, candied orange peel, citron peel and marzipan. Grease the fat pan of the oven (32 x 39 cm). Add the dough, smooth it down and let it rise in a warm place for another 40 minutes. Then press small depressions into the dough with the handle of a wooden spoon. Spice the stollen and spread 100 g butter in flakes in the hollows. Sprinkle with 50 g sugar and flaked almonds. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 15-18 minutes. Remove from oven, place on a rack and let cool slightly. Stir icing sugar, except for 1 tablespoon, and 5-6 tablespoons of water until smooth. Cover the cake with it in wide strips.
