Grate the orange peel, squeeze the juice. Knead flour, orange peel, coriander, salt, vanilla sugar, fat and egg yolk. Chill for 1 hour. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of about 3 mm.
Cut out moons and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 10 minutes. Let the cookies cool down. Mix icing sugar with 4-5 tablespoons of orange juice.
3 tablespoons of it with yellow and red food color yellow-orange color. Cover moons with icing. Pour the coloured icing into a plastic bag, cut off a tip. Decorate moons with pattern.
Results in about 50 pieces.
