Ingredients

  • 150 g Dark chocolate
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 250 g Icing sugar
  • 1 TABLESPOON brown rum
  • 1 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 1 knife tip grated nutmeg
  • 250 g crushed almonds
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Flour
  • baking paper

Directions

    Finely grate the chocolate or grind it finely in the universal chopper. Separate the eggs. Mix 3 egg yolks, 150 g icing sugar, rum and spices with the whisk of the hand mixer for about 5 minutes until thick and frothy. Beat the egg white until stiff. Fold almonds, chocolate, flour and beaten egg white into the egg yolk mixture. Cover and chill for about 30 minutes.

    Put 100 g icing sugar in a deep plate. Form approx. 40 oval loaves from the mixture and roll them in icing sugar. Place on 2 baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 150 °C/ convection oven: 125 °C/ gas: level 1) for 15-20 minutes. Let them cool down
