Put the syrup, sugar and butter in a pot. Heat while stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool down a little. Add bitter almond oil. Mix flour and baking powder.
Take off 50 g and gradually sieve the rest over the syrup mixture and knead with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Halve the almonds with a sharp knife. Roll out the dough between 2 layers of foil about 1/2 cm thick.
Cut out rings and place them on a greased baking tray. Mix egg yolk and condensed milk and spread the cookies with it. Halve the cherries. Decorate the biscuits with cherry halves and almonds.
Press both a little bit. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 1-2) for 8-10 minutes. Results in about 30 pieces.
