Ribs with maple syrup and braised potatoes

Ingredients

  • 7-10 Tbsp Oil
  • 1.2 kg Meat ribs (cut into individual ribs by the butcher)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 1 TEASPOON dried thyme
  • 1 TEASPOON Vegetable broth
  • 100 ml Maple syrup
  • 2 TEASPOONS coarse steak pepper

Directions

    Coat the fat pan and oven rack with oil. Wash the ribs and dab them dry. Season all around with salt. Peel, wash and roughly dice the potatoes and spread them on the fat pan. Season with salt, pepper and thyme.

    Place in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ circulating air: 175 °C/ gas: level 3). Place the ribs on the rack and slide them over the potatoes in the oven. Or place the ribs on the fat pan between the potatoes.

    Stew everything for about 45 minutes. Dissolve stock in 1/4 l hot water and pour on after approx. 15 minutes. Turn the ribs once in between.

    Mix maple syrup and steak pepper. Spread the ribs all around about 10 minutes before the end of cooking time. Serve everything.
