Wash fish thoroughly and pat dry. Season inside and out with salt. Notch the fish diagonally twice on each side. Wash lemon hot, rub dry, cut into 16 narrow slices and press into the notches. For the crust, crumble white bread.
Peel garlic and press it through a garlic press. Finely crush bay leaf and peppercorns. Mix crumbs, garlic, bay leaf, pepper and paprika. Distribute evenly on the fish. Place on a greased baking tray and cook in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 20 minutes
