Quiche Lorraine with puff pastry

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 1 pack of (300 g) frozen puff pastry
  • 200 g Gouda or Comté
  • 7 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 300 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Nutmeg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 150 g diced lean ham

Directions

    Place the puff pastry slices next to each other and let them thaw for about 10 minutes. Grate cheese. Whisk eggs and cream. Season with pepper, nutmeg and a little salt

    Place puff pastry slices on top of each other and roll out to a rectangle (approx. 32 x 39 cm) on a floured work surface. Put the pastry roll into a cold rinsed fat pan. Press on the edge, prick the base several times

    Spread 2/3 ham cubes and whole cheese on the puff pastry. Pour egg cream over it. Sprinkle the rest of the ham cubes over it. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 225 °C/recirculating air: 200 °C/gas: see oven manufacturer) on the lower shelf for 15-18 minutes until golden brown
