Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Bread roll (from the previous day)
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 750 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 TABLESPOON Tomato paste
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp black pepper
  • 1 yellow and red pepper
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml) Tomatoes
  • 1 TEASPOON Instant vegetable stock
  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 1 l Frying fat

Directions

    Soak rolls in cold water. Peel and finely dice the onions. Squeeze the bread roll well, knead with minced meat, half of the onions, tomato paste and egg. Season with salt and pepper, form into 8 meatballs

    Clean, wash and chop the peppers. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pot, fry the remaining onion and paprika. Take out half of it, put aside. Add tomatoes to the remaining peppers, add 200 ml water, bring to the boil, stir in stock, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes

    Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them into thick chips. Fry the French fries in approx. 150 °C hot frying fat for approx. 3 minutes in portions. Remove the finished French fries and spread them out side by side

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the meatballs for about 10 minutes, turning them over. In the meantime heat up the frying fat to approx. 170 °C and fry the chips in it for approx. 5 minutes in portions. Season with salt, keep warm

    Puree the sauce, season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar, stir in the peppers that have been set aside. Serve the meatballs with sauce and chips. Serve with a green salad
