Ingredients

  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 2 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 3 medium-sized onions
  • 1 yellow and red peppers (approx. 200 g each)
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Marjoram
  • 1 kg mixed minced meat
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Gypsy ketchup
  • 7-10 Tbsp Goulash spice
  • 500 g green beans
  • 1 can(s) (720 ml; 450 g by weight) white beans
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2-3 stem(s) Thyme
  • 7-10 Tbsp fresh marjoram
  • 7-10 Tbsp Oil

Directions

    Wash the potatoes and cook in boiling water for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, soak rolls in cold water for about 10 minutes. In the meantime peel onions, put 2 aside for braising and finely dice 1 onion. Wash and clean the peppers and cut them into medium-sized cubes. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and sauté the diced onions in it. Add the paprika and season with salt, pepper and marjoram. Remove the onion and paprika mixture and set aside.

    Squeeze the bread roll well. Mix minced meat, eggs, ketchup, bread and onion-paprika-mixture. Season to taste with salt, pepper and goulash. Shape the minced meat into a loaf, place on an oiled fat pan and cook in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 50-60 minutes. Cut the remaining onions into slices and distribute around the meatloaf. In the meantime, drain, quench and peel the potatoes. Wash, clean and halve the beans. Cook the beans in boiling salted water for 6-8 minutes. Then rinse in cold water and drain. Cut potatoes into slices of about 3 mm thickness. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and fry the potatoes for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Drain the white beans. Peel garlic and cut into thin slices.

    Cook the beans in boiling salted water for 6-8 minutes. Then rinse in cold water and drain. Cut potatoes into slices of about 3 mm thickness. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and fry the potatoes for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally. Drain the white beans. Peel garlic and cut into thin slices. Heat the rest of the oil in a frying pan, fry the garlic in it, add the green beans and fry for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Wash the thyme, dab dry and pluck. Add white beans and thyme. Arrange meatloaf with garlic beans on a plate and garnish with the braised onions. Sprinkle with fresh marjoram if desired. Serve roast potatoes extra

    Heat the rest of the oil in a frying pan, fry the garlic in it, add the green beans and fry for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Wash the thyme, dab dry and pluck. Add white beans and thyme. Arrange meatloaf with garlic beans on a plate and garnish with the braised onions. Sprinkle with fresh marjoram if desired. Serve roast potatoes extra
