Puff pastry cherry pieces with vanilla ice cream

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 1 pack of (450 g; 6 rectangular slices each 10 x 20 cm) deep-frozen puff pastry
  • 400 g Cherries
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 1 glass (340 g) Cherry Jam
  • 100 g Almond slivers
  • baking paper

Directions

    Place the puff pastry slices next to each other and let them thaw at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Wash, clean and stone the cherries. Cut the puff pastry slices in half crosswise and roll out slightly larger (approx. 12 x 12 cm). Place the puff pastry slices on 2 baking trays lined with baking paper. Whisk egg yolk and milk and brush the edges with it.

    Distribute the cherries in the middle of each slice. Heat the jam and spread over the cherries. Sprinkle with almond slivers. Bake the trays one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 15 minutes. Vanilla ice cream tastes good with it
