Plum marzipan cake with sour cream

  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 150 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 1.5 kg Plums
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 125 g Schmand
  • 2 TEASPOONS Cinnamon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Cream fat, sugar and marzipan. Add salt, lemon juice and vanillin sugar. Stir in eggs bit by bit. Mix flour and baking powder and sieve over the egg mixture, fold in.

    Grease the baking tray. Spread the dough evenly on the baking tray. Wash plums and dab dry. Cut crosswise at the top and bottom with a knife. Cut the plums lengthwise on one side, open, stone them and cover the dough tightly with them.

    Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175°/ gas: level 2) for approx. 60 minutes. Beat the eggs, sour cream and cinnamon. After 30 minutes, carefully pour the mixture over the cake. Results in about 20 pieces.
