Plum cake from the tray with flaked almonds and icing sugar

Ingredients

  • 750 g Plums
  • 200 g Butter or margarine
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking Powder
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 7-10 Tbsp juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 40 g sliced almonds
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Aluminium foil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Wash, halve, stone and quarter the plums. For the dough, beat the fat and sugar until frothy. Add the eggs one by one and stir in. Mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Gradually stir into the mixture.

    Add lemon juice. Grease 1/2 baking tray, spread dough on it. Sprinkle generously with plums. Form a firm rail from aluminium foil folded several times and press it firmly against the dough in the middle of the baking tray.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 50 minutes. Roast almonds, sprinkle on the finished cake and dust with icing sugar. Results in about 12 pieces.
