Meatballs on leek vegetables

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 3 Onions
  • 100 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 400 g Minced beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 750 g Leeks (leek)
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 1 heaped tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 bunch Parsley

Directions

    Soak the rolls in lukewarm water. Peel onions, dice 1 finely, cut the rest into rings. Finely dice the bacon. In a frying pan, leave to crisp, take out. Put bacon fat in a pot.

    Knead the minced meat, squeezed bread roll, egg, diced onion and half of the crispy bacon cubes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 4 meatballs dar

    After about 2 minutes add onion rings. Clean and wash the leek and cut into rings. Sauté in bacon fat. Deglaze with 300 ml water, season with salt and pepper, simmer for about 10 minutes.

    Add 150 g cream. Stir the rest of the cream and flour until smooth and thicken the vegetables with it. Bring to the boil while stirring and season to taste again. Arrange leek vegetables and meatballs with the onion rings on a plate.

    Wash and chop the parsley, mix with the rest of the bacon and sprinkle over it.
