Penne with tomato and ham sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 small vegetable onion (approx. 250 g)
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 3-4 (approx. 350 g) Carrots
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml) Tomatoes
  • 1/8 l Red wine
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, sugar
  • 2-3 stem(s) fresher or
  • 1 TEASPOON dried oregano
  • 400 g Noodles
  • 150 g cooked ham
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Directions

    Peel onion and garlic. Peel and wash the carrots. Dice everything finely

    Fry the onion and garlic in a pot in hot oil until translucent. Steam the carrots briefly. Sweat tomato paste with. Stir in tomatoes, juice and wine. Bring everything to the boil. Season with salt, pepper, sugar and oregano. Simmer covered for about 8 minutes

    Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water for about 12 minutes until al dente

    Finely dice the ham. Heat briefly in the sauce. Season to taste. Drain the pasta and serve immediately with the tomato and ham sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese if you like

    The tomato and ham sauce tastes great even without wine. You can simply replace it with broth
