Oriental meatball with cinnamon rice

Ingredients

  • 50 g Raisins
  • 600 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 TEASPOON ground cumin
  • 1 TEASPOON Curry Powder
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 250 g Long grain rice
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 20 g Pine nuts
  • 5 Stem(s) Coriander, mint and parsley
  • 200 g Whole milk yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp peel of 1/2 organic lemon
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cinnamon powder

Directions

    Cut the raisins into small pieces. Knead minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, raisins, cumin and curry. Season with salt and pepper. With wet hands form 8 meatballs from the minced meat mixture

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Fry half of the meatballs for 10-12 minutes while turning. Remove and keep warm. Proceed in the same way with the remaining mince

    Prepare rice in boiling salted water with cinnamon stick according to package instructions. Roast pine nuts in a pan without fat until golden brown, remove. Wash coriander, mint and parsley, shake dry. Pluck leaves from the stalks and chop them. Mix yoghurt and lemon peel. Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar

    Drain the rice and remove the cinnamon stick. Mix rice, pine nuts and herbs. Season with a little cinnamon. Arrange 2 meatballs, rice and some yoghurt dip each on plates. Add the rest of the dip in a bowl
