Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 2 untreated oranges
  • 8 large blood oranges
  • 1 package (1 kg) Gelling sugar 1:1

Directions

  1. 1

Wash untreated oranges well, grate them dry and remove thin strips from the peel with a zest ripper. Peel all oranges so that the white skin is completely removed. Remove the fillets with a sharp knife between the parting skins. Squeeze the juice out of the parting skins. Weigh the juice and fillets. The total weight should be 1250 g. Mix jam sugar, orange peel and pulp in a large pot. Leave to stand for about 30 minutes.

While stirring, bring the fruit-sugar mixture to the boil over a high heat. Simmer for about 4 minutes while stirring continuously. Test the gelling. Fill jam into prepared clean glasses (twist-off lids). Close and turn over immediately. Leave to cool for about 10 minutes. Then turn upside down again and let it cool down
