  • 1 untreated orange
  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 325 g Flour
  • 3 deleted Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 packages (75 g each) Chocolate Drops
  • 225 g Icing sugar
  • 8 discs (approx. 120 g) candied oranges
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 1 small freezer bag

Directions

    Wash the orange thoroughly, dab dry and finely grate the peel. Cream fat, sugar and salt. Stir in eggs one after the other. Add orange zest and milk. Mix flour and baking powder and stir briefly into the dough.

    Finally fold in chocolate drops. Spread the dough on a greased baking tray (35 x 40 cm) and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 15 minutes. Let it cool down. Squeeze 1/2 orange. Mix icing sugar and about 3 tablespoons of orange juice to a thick icing. Put into a small freezer bag and cut off a corner. Cut the cake into about 24 pieces and decorate each piece with icing strips. Cut candied orange slices into six and decorate each piece with 2 orange corners. Let the icing dry.
