Ingredients

  • 300 g Flour
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 150 g Butter
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Milk
  • 75 g Hazelnut brittle
  • 50 g Orange marmalade
  • 1 TABLESPOON Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film
  • baking paper

Directions

    Put the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, egg and butter in flakes into a mixing bowl, first with the dough hooks of the hand mixer, then knead with your hands to a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and chill for about 45 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of 3 mm. Cut out stars (6 cm Ø). Knead the rest of the dough again and process in the same way.

    Place on 3 baking trays lined with baking paper. Whisk egg yolk and milk. Brush the stars with it. Sprinkle half of the stars with brittle. Bake one after the other in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 10 minutes. Remove, place on a cake rack and let cool off. Stir jam until smooth. Spread jam in the middle of the stars without brittle. Place the brittle stars on top of the jam and press down gently. Leave to dry for about 2 hours.
