Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 kg Onions
  • 500 g small mushrooms
  • 75-100 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 4 (200 g each) Pork chops
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Flour for turning
  • 3 TABLESPOONS oil, salt, pepper
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Tomato Ketchup
  • 3 TABLESPOONS medium hot mustard
  • 250-300 g Whipped cream

Directions

    Peel onions and cut them into rings. Clean and wash the mushrooms. Dice bacon. Wash chops, dab dry. Turn in flour, tap lightly

    Fry the chops in a roaster in 2 tablespoons of hot oil. Season, remove. Mix ketchup and mustard, spread on chops

    Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the frying fat and fry the bacon in it until crispy. Fry the onions for about 5 minutes. Take out. Fry the mushrooms in the hot frying fat for about 5 minutes. Mix with the onions and season

    Spread half the bacon-onion mixture in the roaster. Place the chops on top. Spread the rest of the bacon-onion mixture on top. Pour cream over it. Cover and braise in a hot oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/circulating air: 150 °C/gas: level 2) for about 2 hours. After approx. 1 1/2 hours braise open to the end. Served with: farmhouse bread or boiled potatoes
