Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 3 Protein
  • 150 gr sugar
  • 4 drops of peppermint oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp red food colouring

Directions

  1. 1

Beat the 3 egg whites over a not too hot water bath until thick and frothy. Little by little, pour in the sugar and add the peppermint oil. Take off some 1 - 2 tablespoons of the egg whites and carefully stir in the red food colouring.

  2. 2

Now you need two piping bags. Put the coloured egg mass into one piping bag and use it to squirt thin strips from the base of the spout upwards into the other piping bag. Leave about 2cm space between the strips.

  3. 3

Then you put the white egg mass into the "striped" piping bag and spray any shapes you like onto a baking tray covered with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 120 C° and bake the meringue for about 40 minutes.
