Servings: 4
  • 1.5 kg Melons (e.g. Charentais, Galia and watermelon)
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 3-4 Tbsp Oil
  • 50 g Salami in thin slices
  • 50 g Hard cheese (e.g. provolone or parmesan)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon balm

Directions

  1. 1

Halve melons and remove seeds. Possibly cut off 2 slices to garnish. Cut out balls from the remaining pulp with a ball cutter. Or cut the flesh from the skin and dice finely

  2. 2

Arrange the slices and balls or pieces of melon on a large plate. Mix lemon juice, salt, pepper and some sugar. Beat the oil vigorously into the mixture. Dribble over the melons

  3. 3

Serve the salami on the plate. Finely slice the cheese with a peeler directly above. Garnish. Grissini (Italian pastry sticks) taste good with it.

  4. 4

    Drink: cool white wine
