Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 500 g Strawberries
  • 1 Sugar melon (about 700 g; e.g. Charentais or
  • 7-10 Tbsp reticulated melon)
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • 5-7 (75 ml) Tbsp
  • 7-10 Tbsp Orange liqueur or orange juice
  • 3-4 Tbsp liquid honey
  • 1 TEASPOON Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon balm

Directions

  1. 1

Wash and clean the strawberries and, depending on size, cut them in half or quarters. Halve melon and remove seeds with a tablespoon. Cut out balls from the flesh with a ball cutter or dice the flesh

  2. 2

Squeeze the lemon. Mix juice, liqueur and honey. Mix with strawberries and melon and let it stand for about 10 minutes. Spread on 4 dessert plates and dust with icing sugar. Decorate with lemon balm if desired

  3. 3

For the marinated fruits you do not have to buy a bottle of orange liqueur. You can also sprinkle them with liqueur, port wine or cream sherry from your stock. Looks nice: Arrange the fruit in the hollowed-out melon halves. For this, cut the melon in half, e.g. in a zigzag cut. The fruits are also delicious with a dash of whipped cream or crème fraîche on top
