Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 green peppers
  • 400 g red lentils
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Turmeric
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2-3 Cardamom Capsules
  • 1/2 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 TABLESPOON clarified butter

Directions

    Halve the peppers lengthwise, remove the seeds and wash them. Wash the lentils. Put lentils and peppers in 3/4 litre boiling water and cook for 10 minutes. Roast the spices and crush them finely in a mortar. Peel onions and garlic.

    Cut onions into strips and chop garlic. Fry with spices in hot clarified butter. Add to the lentils. Continue cooking for 5 minutes
