Lamb's lettuce with melon & peppers

Ingredients

  • 100 g Lamb's lettuce
  • 1 Sugar melon (e.g. Charentais; approx. 800 g)
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1-2 stem(s) Basil
  • 3-4 Tbsp White wine vinegar
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, some sugar
  • 3-4 Tbsp Oil

Directions

    Wash, clean and drain the lamb's lettuce well. Halve the melon, remove seeds. Cut one half into about 12 slices, cut out balls from the other half or dice the flesh.

    Clean, wash and finely dice the peppers. Wash the basil, pluck the leaves and cut into strips

    Whip vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar and oil. Basi-

    add likum. Arrange melon, lamb's lettuce and peppers on plates. Sprinkle the marinade evenly on the plates.

    Instead of lamb's lettuce the melon also goes well with oak leaf salad or radicchio
