  • 1 1/2 TSP. Cocoa powder
  • 2 TEASPOONS Gingerbread spice
  • 1 heaped Tsp baking powder
  • 400 g Icing sugar
  • 100 g flaked almonds
  • 100 g Almond slivers
  • 1 package (100 g) pastry jewellery
  • 7-10 Tbsp Love Beads
  • 18-20 large, brown almond kernels
  • 1 pack of Chocolate decor bark, plain
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Icing sugar for sprinkling
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cardboard
  • 1-2 One piping bag
  • 1-2 wooden skewers

Directions

  1. 1

Heat honey, 100 g sugar and 2 tablespoons of water while stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Leave to cool for 10-15 minutes. Separate 2 eggs. Mix 1 egg, 2 egg yolks and 2 tablespoons of sugar with the whisks of the hand mixer until creamy. Stir in the honey mixture. Mix flour, cocoa, gingerbread spice and baking powder and sieve onto the honey dough. First knead in with the dough hooks of the hand mixer, then knead into a smooth dough with floured hands. Cover and put in a cool place for about 20 minutes. In the meantime grease the baking tray and dust with flour. Roll out the dough as evenly as possible.

  2. 2

Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for 15-20 minutes. In the meantime cut a template out of cardboard. First cut a rectangle (30 x 21 cm; Din A 4), then an isosceles triangle of 15 cm side length. Place the template on the hot gingerbread and immediately cut out a rectangle and two triangles. Cut a door out of one triangle. Cut the rectangle in half crosswise. Use a cookie cutter to cut out animals from the dough (e.g. rooster, chicken, cat, ducks, pigs and possibly fir trees). Let everything cool down on a cake rack. Mix egg white and icing sugar and put about half of it in a piping bag. Stir the rest of the icing with 1-2 tablespoons of hot water until spreadable and coat the two roof parts with it. Mix the flaked almonds and almond sticks and sprinkle the roof thickly with it. Let it dry for 1-2 hours. In the meantime, brush the animals and fir trees with the remaining water. Decorate with pastry decorations and love beads as desired. Let it dry. Cut off the tip of the piping bag and spray a thick strip of cast on the house and roof edges. Now place the roof and gables together and press them together. As a support, perhaps place an upside-down cup or glass underneath.

Spray the window and icicles on the gable sides with a little bit of cast iron. Spray the rest of the cast thickly onto the ridge. Place the tap on the roof and fix it well with cast iron or a wooden skewer. Decorate the ridge with whole almonds. Allow to dry. Put the farm on a tray and place the animals and trees in front of it. Scatter the remaining almond flakes and sticks as straw and place the bark chocolate as a wooden pile in front of the door and on the sledge. Dust thickly with icing sugar
