Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Turkey drumsticks (approx. 600 g each)
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 3/4 l Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 1 kg Potatoes (mainly waxy)
  • 1 collar Soup Greens
  • 2-3 Bay leaves
  • 7-10 Tbsp Parsley

Directions

  1. 1

Wash turkey legs thoroughly and dab dry with kitchen paper. Peel and halve the garlic. First rub the legs with garlic, then with salt and pepper. Place the turkey legs in a large roasting pan.

  2. 2

Bake in the preheated oven (electric range: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for about 2 hours until brown. Gradually pour in the stock. During the roasting process, scoop the legs more often with the roast stock. In the meantime, peel and wash the potatoes and, depending on their size, cut them in half or quarters.

  3. 3

Clean, wash and drain the soup greens. Cut leek into thick rings, carrots into slices and celery into cubes. After about 1 hour frying time, spread prepared potatoes, soup vegetables and bay leaves around the turkey legs.

  4. 4

Season the vegetables with salt and pepper and serve with the turkey legs. Garnish with parsley as desired.
