Italian bread salad

Ingredients

  • 200 g Ciabatta bread
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 8 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 1 Pot of basil
  • 1 red onion
  • 4 TABLESPOONS White wine vinegar
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 400 g cherry tomatoes
  • 1 red pepper
  • 200 g Romaine lettuce hearts

Directions

    Cut the bread into thin slices. Peel garlic and press it through a garlic press. Heat 4 tablespoons of oil with garlic in portions. Roast the bread in it in portions.

    Wash basil, shake dry, pluck leaves from the stalks and chop. Peel and halve the onion and cut into very thin slices. Whisk vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper, fold in 4 tablespoons of oil in a thin stream.

    Stir in the basil.

    Wash, clean and halve the tomatoes. Halve, clean, wash and chop the peppers. Clean, wash, shake dry and pluck into bite-sized pieces. Mix and arrange slices of bread and prepared salad ingredients, drizzle some vinaigrette over it.

    Add the rest of the vinaigrette.
