Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 25 g Ginger Tuber
  • 2 Cardamom Capsules
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 pinch coarse black pepper (best from the mill)
  • 1/2 ground cinnamon
  • 6 Tl loose Assam tea
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Honey
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cinnamon

Directions

    Wash the ginger and cut into slices. Crush cardamom, star anise and cloves. Bring ginger, pepper, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, cloves and 500 ml water to the boil, cover and leave to stand for about 30 minutes. Bring the water to the boil again. Add tea to the water and let it steep for about 5 minutes, then pour through a fine sieve. Add milk and honey, heat and froth up with a milk frother. Pour the chai latte into large glasses/cups and dust with cinnamon
