Onions peel, finely dice. Knead minced meat, half onions, breadcrumbs and egg. Season with salt and pepper. Form 8 meatballs from the minced meat mixture.
Peel and wash the potatoes, cover and cook in salted water for about 20 minutes. Peel apples, quarter them, remove seeds and dice roughly. Steam covered in 100 ml water for about 5 minutes.
Dice the bacon and fry it crisply in a pan without fat. Fry the rest of the onions briefly. Remove.
Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the meatballs for about 8 minutes on each side.
Drain the potatoes. Add apples with the cooking water to the potatoes and mash them with a potato masher. Fold in the bacon-onion mixture. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Arrange everything.
