Grind the walnuts. Sift the icing sugar. Beat egg white and salt until stiff. Sprinkle in icing sugar. Mix nuts and fold in. Fill into a piping bag with a slightly larger nozzle.
Spray small heaps (3-4 cm Ø) on 2 baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake one after the other in a preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 15-20 minutes, then allow to cool. For decoration, chop the chocolate coating and melt it on a hot water bath. Cover the kusserln completely or decorate them with fine threads as desired.
