Ingredients

  • 150 g soft butter or margarine
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 package Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated peel of 1 untreated orange
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 150 g Apricot Jam
  • 125 ml Milk
  • 300 g Flour
  • 2 1/2 TSP. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Baking soda
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 orange
  • 80 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 7-10 Tbsp green food coloring
  • 80 g Icing sugar
  • 4-6 half marzipan pigs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Cream fat with sugar, vanilla sugar, orange peel and egg. Alternately stir in jam and milk, mix flour with baking powder and baking soda, stir in briefly. Grease a muffin tray with 12 depressions or place 2 paper baking cups one inside the other. Spread the dough evenly. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 20 minutes.

    Leave to cool in the mould. Prick muffins with shish kebab skewers several times and drip orange juice into the holes. Cover with foil and let stand for 3-4 hours. Knead the marzipan with 25 g icing sugar and colour green with food colouring. Roll out on some icing sugar. Cut out clover leaves with a cookie cutter. Carve a pattern with a knife. Form marzipan stalks from the rest. Take the muffins out of the mould and dust with 1 tablespoon of icing sugar.
