Ingredients

  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 150 g streaky smoked bacon
  • 1 Pot of thyme
  • 1-2 Bay leaves
  • 400 g green ribbon noodles
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 TABLESPOON Tomato paste
  • 1 TABLESPOON Flour
  • 1 can(s) (850 ml) peeled tomatoes
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Tomato ketchup
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cayenne pepper

Directions

    Peel and finely dice the onions. Peel and slice the garlic. Dice bacon. Wash thyme, dab dry and pluck the leaves from the stalk. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for ten minutes. In the meantime, skip the bacon in a pan.

    Add onions, garlic and bay leaf and fry. Stir in tomato paste, dust with flour and sauté briefly. Deglaze with the canned tomatoes, add ketchup and bring to the boil. Add 3/4 of the thyme, stir in and season with salt, pepper, paprika, sugar and cayenne pepper. Drain the noodles, rinse them, arrange them in a bowl, spread the sauce over them and serve sprinkled with the remaining thyme
