Green coal stew with mettends

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Kale
  • 200 g Onions
  • 20 g clarified butter
  • 200 g lean smoked bacon
  • 1-11/4 l clear broth (instant)
  • 600 g baby potatoes
  • 4 (approx. 320 g) Mettenden or cooked sausages
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper

Directions

    Clean the kale, wash thoroughly several times and cut finely. Peel and slice the onions. Heat clarified butter in a pot and brown the onions slightly in it. Add bacon and kale and pour on broth.

    If necessary add some salt, bring to the boil, cover and stew for about 50 minutes. In the meantime wash and peel the potatoes. After about 30 minutes add potatoes and mead ends to the stew and bring to the boil. Season the charcoal stew with salt and pepper.

    Cut the bacon into slices. Serve with some mustard and a cool beer.
