Gratinated Leberkäse on braised sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 3 discs (100 g each) fine meatloaf
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 (500 g) Bag of sauerkraut
  • 5 TABLESPOONS apple juice
  • 3 TABLESPOONS sweet mustard
  • 3 TABLESPOONS thickened cranberries
  • 125 g Camembert (double cream step)
  • 7-10 Tbsp roughly chopped parsley

Directions

    Heat the oil in a flat frying pan. Fry the meatloaf in it and take it out. Peel and chop the onion. Sauté sauerkraut and onion in frying fat. Add apple juice. Cook in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 15-20 minutes.

    Coat Leberkäse with mustard. Add 1 tablespoon of cranberries to each. Cut camembert into 9 slices, place 3 slices on each slice of Leberkäse and place on the sauerkraut 8 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Arrange sauerkraut and Leberkäse on plates. Sprinkle with parsley. Add onion bread, cranberries and mustard extra
