Ginger carrots

Ingredients

Servings: 2
  • 7-10 Tbsp (750 ml each):
  • 1 kg medium-sized carrots
  • 75 g Ginger (tuber)
  • 200 ml Vinegar
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Salt
  • 175 g brown candy
  • 2 TEASPOONS black pepper

Directions

    Clean and wash the carrots. Peel ginger and cut into pieces. Bring vinegar, 400 millilitres of water, ginger, candy and pepper to the boil. Cook the carrots for eight to ten minutes. Let cool well.

    Layer carrots in a glass and pour the liquid over the carrots. Close the glass. Leave to stand in the refrigerator for a few days.
