Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 175 g Coconut oil (e.g. palm oil)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 75 g Cornstarch
  • 1 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 250 g Icing sugar
  • 1 pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 6 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 1 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Oil

Directions

    For the dough, melt coconut oil in a small pot and pour into a mixing bowl. Let it cool down for about 10 minutes.

    Mix flour, starch and baking powder. Add icing sugar, vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt to the fat and whisk until creamy. Stir in the eggs one by one. Stir in the flour mixture briefly.

    Mix sugar and cinnamon. Heat up a waffle iron and spread with oil. Put 3-4 tbsp. of dough in the middle of each wafer, spread lightly and bake about 12 golden yellow wafers one after the other. Divide immediately into hearts and turn in the cinnamon sugar. Serve with caramel sauce or cherry compote.
