Bring 700 ml water, 100 ml oil and salt to the boil and pour onto the flour. Knead first with the dough hooks of the hand mixer, then with your hands to a smooth dough. Let rest for about 15 minutes
Heat 1-1 1/2 l of oil in a deep fryer or high pot to approx. 180 ºC. Pour the dough in portions into a piping bag with a large star-shaped spout and squirt a total of approx. 25 strips or rings of dough onto baking paper
Slide 3-4 pieces of dough from each paper into the hot oil and bake for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Lift them out and let them drip off well on kitchen paper. Dust with icing sugar
