Ingredients

  • 90 g Butter or margarine
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin - sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M )
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 1 TABLESPOON Rum
  • 175 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 150 g mixed hazelnuts
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Rasp chocolate (Ulmer or Schwartau)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and breadcrumbs
  • 1 - 2 TABLESPOONS Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp some chocolate starlets

Directions

    Cream fat, sugar and vanillin sugar. Stir in eggs bit by bit. Add milk and rum. Flour. Mix baking powder, hazelnuts and chocolate, fold in briefly. Pour into a greased star-shaped mould (approx. 1 1/2 litres content) sprinkled with breadcrumbs and smooth it down.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200°C / gas: level 3) for 20-25 minutes. Let cool down on a cake rack for about 10 minutes. Then turn out and let it cool down completely. Cut a small star pattern.

    Lift the cake onto a plate. Place the template on top and dust the edge with icing sugar. Decorate the middle of the cake and possibly also the cake plate with stars. Makes about 12 pieces.
