Chop the chocolate, put it with cream in an ovenproof bowl and melt it over a warm water bath. Measure out 125 ml, let cool slightly. Keep the rest of the chocolate sauce warm in a water bath.
Cream fat, sugar, vanillin sugar and salt. Stir in the eggs one after the other. Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder. Alternately stir in the cooled chocolate cream and milk. Preheat and grease the waffle iron.
Bake about 10 waffles one after the other. Dust the waffles with icing sugar and serve with warm chocolate sauce. Pears and vanilla ice cream taste good with them.
