Chicken gyros

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 7-10 Tbsp ½ medium sized cucumber
  • 400 g Whole milk yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 3 small onions (e.g. red)
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 2 small peppers
  • 600 g Chicken filet
  • 4 TABLESPOONS oil, 1-2 tsp gyros spice salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Basil

Directions

    1) Peel and chop the garlic. Clean, wash, coarsely grate and squeeze the cucumber. Mix with yoghurt and half the garlic. Season with salt and pepper

    2) Peel the onions and cut them into slices. Clean and wash the zucchini, cut them in half lengthwise and cut them into pieces. Clean, wash and cut the peppers into strips. Wash the meat, dab dry, cut into strips

    3) Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large coated pan. Fry the meat in it in portions for about 4 minutes. Season with seasoning salt and pepper and remove. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the frying fat. Fry the peppers and onions in it, season and remove. Heat 1 tbsp. oil in the frying fat. Fry the zucchini for about 3 minutes. Fry the rest of the garlic briefly with the zucchini, season

    4) Put the pepper, meat and onion back into the pan, heat briefly. Season to taste. Wash and pluck the basil and sprinkle over the gyro pan

    Tzatziki. Flatbread tastes good with it
