Drain the cherries and collect the juice. Mix starch and 3 tablespoons of juice. Boil up the rest of the juice and sugar. Stir in starch, bring to the boil again and simmer for about 3 minutes. Fold in cherries. Let cool down a little. Pour into 4 dessert bowls and let cool down for at least 2 hours
Stir curd and milk until smooth. Season to taste with vanilla sugar and lemon juice. Spread on the cherries. Cut the puffed rice bites diagonally in half and arrange them on top.
