Butter waffles with caribbean fruit salad

Ingredients

Servings: 6
  • 150 g soft butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 3 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 1 ripe papaya
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Lime or lemon juice
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Coconut flakes or chips

Directions

    For the waffles, mix butter, sugar and 1 pinch of salt until creamy. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour and baking powder. Alternately stir in the milk. Heat up the waffle iron and grease it lightly.

    Bake about 6 golden brown waffles from the dough. Let them cool down.

    For the fruit salad, peel the mangoes and papaya. Cut the flesh of the mangos from the stone and dice them. Halve papaya, remove seeds with a spoon. Cut the flesh into cubes. Mix the fruits.

    1⁄4 Puree fruit and lime juice. Mix with remaining fruit.

    Share waffles in hearts. Fill fruit salad into glasses and arrange with the waffle hearts. Decorate with coconut. Add the remaining waffle hearts.
